Anyone wishing to go online efficiently, for daily emailing and web browsing.
Objectives
- Connect to a local network, to the Internet and to the Intranet.
- Understand web browsing and online security concepts.
- Use the web browser and manage browser settings, bookmarks and web outputs.
- Search effectively for online information and critically evaluate web content.
- Understand key copyright and data protection issues.
- Understand concepts of online communities, communications and email.
- Send, receive e-mails and manage email settings.
- Organize and search emails.
- Use calendars.
Prerequisites
It is recommended to complete module « Office tools fundamentals » (C1300) prior to enroling for this module or proof of equivalent certified knowledge.
Notes
Participants are entitled to take the ICDL « Online essentials » test free of charge.
